This website is operated by Pierce Land & Bison, a Colorado-based ranch and direct-to-consumer meat company. By visiting our site, placing an order, or using any part of our service, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes. The most current version of these terms will always be available at piercelandandbison.com.

Eligibility

By using this site and placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, are a legal resident of the United States, and are legally capable of entering into a binding contract. Orders may only be shipped to addresses within the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii.

Products

Product Descriptions

We make every effort to describe our products accurately. Product photos are representative of the cut and quality you will receive but are not guaranteed to match the exact appearance of your specific package, as natural variation exists between individual animals and cuts. All bison products are sourced from our 100% grass-fed, grass-finished Colorado herd and processed at a USDA-inspected facility in northern Colorado.

Weight and Pricing

All package weights listed on our website are guaranteed minimums. Many packages run slightly heavier than the listed weight at no additional charge. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. The price at the time your order is placed is the price you will be charged.

Nutritional Information

Any nutritional information provided on our website is sourced from USDA FoodData Central and is approximate. Actual nutritional content may vary by cut, individual animal, and preparation method. This information is provided for general reference only and should not be relied upon for medical or dietary decisions.

Orders & Payment

Order Acceptance

Placing an order does not constitute a binding contract until we confirm and accept the order. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our sole discretion, including orders that appear fraudulent, contain errors in pricing or product information, or cannot be fulfilled due to inventory limitations. If we cancel your order after payment has been collected, a full refund will be issued.

Payment

We accept debit and credit cards processed securely through Shopify Payments. By submitting your payment information, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to use the payment method provided and that the information you supply is accurate and complete. All transactions are encrypted and processed in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.

Pricing Errors

In the event that a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or system error, we reserve the right to cancel any orders placed at the incorrect price and notify you accordingly. A full refund will be issued for any such cancelled orders.

Shipping & Delivery

Shipping Schedule

All orders ship on Mondays via UPS with dry ice to maintain safe frozen temperatures. Orders placed after Sunday at midnight Mountain Time will ship the following Monday. Estimated delivery is 2–3 business days from the ship date depending on your location.

Shipping Address

You are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for orders that are delayed, lost, or undeliverable due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer. Additional shipping charges may apply for address corrections or re-delivery.

Delivery Delays

We ship with sufficient dry ice to account for standard transit times. We are not responsible for delays caused by UPS, weather events, natural disasters, or other circumstances outside our control. If a delay causes your order to arrive in a compromised condition, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery per our Refund Policy.

Failed Delivery

We are not responsible for packages that are undeliverable due to no one being available to receive them, refusal of delivery, or failure to retrieve the package after a delivery attempt. Perishable products that are re-routed or held at a UPS facility beyond the dry ice window are not eligible for replacement or refund.

Food Safety

All Pierce Land & Bison products are processed at a USDA-inspected facility and are safe for consumption when handled and stored properly. Upon receiving your order:

• Place products in your freezer immediately upon arrival if not cooking within 1–2 days.
• Thaw frozen products in the refrigerator, not at room temperature.
• Cook all ground meat products to a minimum safe internal temperature as recommended by the USDA.
• Do not consume any product that has an off odor, unusual color, or that you have reason to believe was improperly stored or handled during transit.

Pierce Land & Bison is not liable for illness or injury resulting from improper handling, storage, or preparation of our products after delivery.

Intellectual Property

All content on piercelandandbison.com — including text, photographs, graphics, logos, and product descriptions — is the property of Pierce Land & Bison and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use any content from this site for commercial purposes without our express written permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Pierce Land & Bison shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website, products, or services, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or personal injury.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to your purchase shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the order giving rise to the claim.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Our website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that our website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms of Service and any disputes arising from your use of our website or purchase of our products are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration in the State of Colorado in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction where necessary to protect intellectual property rights or prevent irreparable harm.
